Platform Support

Linux

Linux-x86 (32-bit) executables:
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 3.9, 4.x and 5.x
  • CentOS 3.9, 4.x and 5
  • SUSE SLES 9.x, 10.x (except 10.3), and 11.x
  • Ubuntu 8.04 LTS

64-bit operating systems are supported with the appropriate compatibility libraries.
Other operating systems that are compatible with CentOS 3.9 and libc 2.3.2, and have 32-bit system libraries installed, are unofficially supported.
Operating systems that are not supported include Red Hat 8.0, Suse 9.1, Fedora 8, and any other distribution that replaces classic Xlib with XCB Xlib and does not provide a workaround for the problems described in http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11390.
Linux-x86_64 (64-bit) executables:
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.2 and later 5.x 64-bit versions
  • CentOS 5.2 and later 5.x 64-bit versions
  • SUSE SLES 11.x 64-bit
  • Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 64-bit

Any 64-bit Linux having a /lib/libc version of 2.5 or greater is unofficialy supported
Linux-ia64 (Itanium 2) executables for Jaguar and QSite only:
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS 3.9 or 4.x
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9.x or 10.x (except 10.3).

Windows XP (32-bit, Service Pack 2 or later recommended)
Windows Vista (32- and 64-bit, Service Pack 1 required)
Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit)
Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)
Windows HPC Server 2008 (64-bit) - distributed Glide and LigPrep only
