March 12th-14th, 2008
Schrödinger at the [BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference, Basel, Switzerland, March 12–14

Dr. Richard Friesner , Professor of Chemistry at Columbia University and Schrödinger's Scientific Advisory Board Chairman, will give a talk titled "Small molecule docking " at the [BC]2 Basel Computational Biology Conference , taking place in Basel, Switzerland, from March 13-14.

In addition, Dr. István Kolossváry (D.E. Shaw Research) will give a talk titled "Novel algorithms in Desmond enabling practical microsecond-scale molecular dynamics simulations in the Maestro environment ." There will also be a [BC]2 special seminar on Wednesday afternoon, where Dr. Kolossváry will discuss implementation and application details of Desmond calculations. This special seminar is intended for a molecular dynamics audience and will go into the more technical details. The seminar will be preceded by a brief introduction to protein preparation in Maestro by Schrödinger Applications Scientist Dr. Jianxin Duan, and there will be a Q & A session following the presentations. Please contact Dr. Annette Höglund (hoeglund@schrodinger.de) if you'd like to reserve a seat at the seminar.
