How do I change the residue number for a single atom in a residue, which has the wrong residue number?

You can do this with the Build panel.

1. Select the atom to be changed in the Workspace.
2. Choose Edit → Build → Residue Properties, to open the Build panel at the Residue Properties tab.
3. Ensure that the Property is Residue Number.
4. In the Apply residue number section, enter the desired residue number in the Residue number text box.
5. Click Selection

The residue number for the atom is changed. You might want to label the atoms by residue number to verify that the change is correct.
