Why is the progress of my job not updated in the Monitor panel?

In versions of Maestro prior to 8.0 (Suite 2007), it can seem that the Monitor panel is not updating a job's progress. In these versions, most Maestro operations, with exceptions such as rotation and panel viewing, disabled monitoring. If it is unclear whether your job's progress is being updated, or if the monitoring information does not appear to be current, click the Monitor button or double-click the job name to re-enable monitoring.

From Maestro 8.0, the display is updated regardless of other actions taken within Maestro.
