When I change the bond order or formal charge, the atoms are sometimes retyped incorrectly. What can I do?

You can set the atom type manually in the Atom Properties tab of the Build panel. You should also check the building preferences that you have set in the Preferences panel. These preferences control whether united atom types are used and whether hydrogens are added when building.
