I am trying to run Schrödinger software on a system that has special characters in the standard Windows paths (non-English locale), but my jobs are failing. What can I do about it?

You will have to create some folders in a location that doesn't have these characters in the path, and then set environment variables to point to these folders. Instructions for setting environment variables are given in Appendix A of the Installation Guide. You will need to create the following folders:

  • a folder for temporary projects, and set the environment variable SCHRODINGER_TEMP_PROJECT to point to this folder;
  • a folder for the jobs database, and set the environment variable SCHRODINGER_JOBDB2 to point to this folder.
