When I tried to import a structure into Maestro, I get this warning:
"WARNING No project is currently open."
When I tried to create a new project, I got this warning:
"WARNING Cannot create new project '/home/user/a.prj'.
And when I tried to open an existing one, I got this warning:
"WARNING Cannot open project '/home/user/myProject.prj'.
This is a new problem that I have not observed before. How do I fix this problem?
These errors can happen if you have any of the following files or directories outside a project directory (project-name.prj), for example in your $HOME directory:
.mmproj-admin/entrylist
.mmproj-admin-os.tar.Z
.mmproj-admin-os.tar.gz
Maestro interprets any directory that contains these files as a project. If you have a real project in this directory (or a subdirectory), you will get the errors described above.
If you find any of these files outside a project, you should delete them. Once you've done that, Maestro will operate normally again.
You should not normally need to copy files from inside the project to some other location. If you want copies of the files inside the project, you should use Maestro to copy them out, with Project → Export. If you want to make a backup copy of the project, there are several ways of doing this from the Project menu. The only circumstance in which you should consider copying files is if you store job files inside the project. If you want to do this, it is highly recommended that you use the project jobs directory (select "Project jobs directory" in the Preferences panel under Jobs → Directory), where the job files are in a separate directory (project.prj/jobs). Then it is less likely that the project administration files will be copied by accident to another location.
