Why do I see warnings about LSF in my Desmond and Jaguar log files?
Due to the way OpenMPI is compiled, support for the LSF queuing system is automatically provided for users of that queuing system. However, when OpenMPI cannot locate LSF, it issues warnings which may appear in the log file of certain Schrodinger products:
mca: base: component_find: unable to open
/usr/prog/schrodinger/2010/mmshare-v19108/lib/Linux-x86_64/openmpi/lib/openmpi/mca_ess_lsf: perhaps
a missing symbol, or compiled for a different version of Open MPI? (ignored)
mca: base: component_find: unable to open
/usr/prog/schrodinger/2010/mmshare-v19108/lib/Linux-x86_64/openmpi/lib/openmpi/mca_plm_lsf: perhaps
a missing symbol, or compiled for a different version of Open MPI? (ignored)
mca: base: component_find: unable to open
/usr/prog/schrodinger/2010/mmshare-v19108/lib/Linux-x86_64/openmpi/lib/openmpi/mca_ras_lsf: perhaps
a missing symbol, or compiled for a different version of Open MPI? (ignored)
If you are not using the LSF queuing system, these warnings may be safely ignored. Furthermore,
you can suppress these messages by moving the following files:
mca_ess_lsf.la
mca_ess_lsf.so
mca_plm_lsf.la
mca_plm_lsf.so
mca_ras_lsf.la
mca_ras_lsf.so
out of the following directories:
installation/mmshare-v19103/lib/Linux-x86/openmpi/lib/openmpi
installation/mmshare-v19103/lib/Linux-x86_64/openmpi/lib/openmpi
This will disable tight integration between LSF and OpenMPI.
If you do in fact use LSF, then please contact Schrodinger Technical Support (help@schrodinger.com) for further assistance.
