I liked the toolbar layout in Maestro 9.1 (Suite 2010), and I noticed that the toolbars changed in Maestro 9.2. Is it possible to revert the toolbar layout to that of Maestro 9.1?

The toolbar was significantly enhanced in Maestro 9.2, to provide access to more functions and to allow it to be customized. When you start Maestro 9.2 for the first time, the changes are introduced with some instructions for using the new feature.

Because of these changes, there is no explicit way to revert the toolbar to the Maestro 9.1 layout. Below are some easy steps to change the toolbar layout to be similar to the one in Maestro 9.1.

  1. Choose Maestro → Preferences. On the left, under General, click Appearance. On the right, under "Set all toolbar styles to", click Icon Only.
  2. Customize the toolbars, by right-clicking in one of them and choosing Customize. The panel that opens lists the toolbars, and you can select the buttons you want to show on each toolbar.
  3. Using the Manager toolbar, display all the toolbars. The Manager toolbar is the toolbar with buttons to show and hide the other toolbars.
  4. Move the toolbars to the left of the Workspace, and arrange them as you want. For example, you might want the toolbars you don't regularly use on the right, so that they won't change the layout when you show and hide them. Toolbars are moved by dragging them by the "handle" — a four-directional arrow appears when you pause the pointer over the handle.
  5. Using the Manager toolbar again, hide the toolbars you don't want to use regularly.

In Suite 2012, you can use a layout that is similar to Maestro 9.1 by starting Maestro with the Maestro91 profile. You can choose the profile in the Choose Profile dialog box, which opens by default on startup, or use the command maestro -profile Maestro91 to start Maestro.
