I double-clicked on the lic_start.bat file to start the license server, but Maestro still complains that it cannot find a license. How can I fix this?

Please do the following:

Make sure the license.txt file is not inadvertently called license.txt.txt:

  1. Go to Start → Control Panel.
  2. Choose Tools → Folder Options.
  3. In the View tab, ensure that "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.
  4. Open an explorer window and navigate to the license file. Normally it will be in your installation folder (C:\Schrodingeryear).
  5. Rename the file if necessary.

Look in the file lmgrd.log for error messages. If there are error messages, send the file to help@schrodinger.com. The file should be in your installation folder.

If this still does not point to the solution, send us the output from the licadmin INFO command as described in article 281.
