When I try to view XP descriptors from Suite 2011 in the XP Visualizer in Suite 2012, I get an error message:
Unable to find required values in the input file
Is there a way around this problem?
Due to the addition of some XP descriptors in 2012, the XP Visualizer expects to find these descriptors in the pose file. When a pose file from Suite 2011 or earlier is loaded, these descriptors are absent, and the loading of the descriptors fails with the above error message.
The workaround is to select the '.xpdes' box in the XP Visualizer and load the XP descriptor data from the jobname.xpdes file. The XP Visualizer is able to read this older-format file, but the DockScore and EpikStatePenalty columns of the XP Visualizer are empty, due to the absence of those properties in the .xpdes file.
