In KNIME, when should I use the Run Maestro 1:1 metanode, and when should I use the KNIME-Maestro connector node?
Both of these nodes establish a connection between Maestro and KNIME, but for different purposes.
- The Run Maestro 1:1 node is intended only for short interactive tasks and the predefined output (structures, selection, etc.) is intended to be used immediately after by the downstream nodes. This node launches a Maestro session, which is closed once the structures are passed back to KNIME.
- The KNIME-Maestro connector node allows you to go back and forth between a KNIME session and a Maestro session, and exchange structures when working in either session. The Maestro session is not started by the connector node, but must be started beforehand. It is not closed by the KNIME node.
