Installation on Windows failed due to insufficient disk space, but I'm sure I have enough disk space for the installation. How can this happen?
The reason is that the installer stores a cached copy of the installation on the local disk, so you need enough space for two installations for the installation to be completed. Also, when you download the software and extract it from the zip archive, the space required is about the same as for an installation. The total space needed, including the download, the cached copy, and the final installation, is about three times the space needed for the final installation.
To save some space, you can remove the zip file that you downloaded after it has been extracted. If you have previous software releases, you can remove both the zip file for the download and the folder it was extracted into, as these are not needed for uninstallation or upgrade of that release.
