Why does Maestro freeze on Windows when I try to export structures?

There is a known problem exporting from Maestro 9.3 on Windows to formats other than Maestro, SD, PDB, Mol2, which are handled by Maestro. Formats such as XYZ, Spartan, and Gaussian that are exported via Babel may result in Maestro freezing, due to a known incompatibility that is under investigation.

As a workaround, you can download the third party application OpenBabel and use that to convert an exported file in one of SD, Mol2, or PDB format into the desired final format.
