I can't import a SMILES file into Maestro on Windows. I get a dialog box saying 'canvasConvert.exe crashed', then dialog boxes saying that Maestro could not import the file. What can I do?
This failure occurs if you have the environment variable SCHRODINGER_TMPDIR set. The workaround is to delete this environment variable. Instructions on setting and modifying environment variables are given in Appendix A of the Installation Guide. Follow these instructions to open the Environment Variables dialog box, then select the
SCHRODINGER_TMPDIR variable and click Delete.
This problem has been fixed in a patch to Suite 2012 Update 2 (mmshare version 21518), which you can download from the Downloads page.
