How can I provide a KNIME workflow to a colleague for installation into Maestro?

To provide a KNIME workflow to a colleague for use from Maestro, follow these instructions:

  1. Develop and test the workflow in KNIME, following the instructions in section 4.2.1 in the Knime User Manual.
  2. Install the workflow in Maestro, by clicking "Install" in the workflow startup panel. The installation generates a new workflowname.py file and a workflowname_dir folder in the workflows folder (directory) of your Maestro user resources area ($HOME/.schrodinger/maestroNN/workflows/ on Linux and Mac, %APPDATA%\Schrodinger\maestroNN\workflows on Windows).
  3. Go to this folder, and zip the workflowname.py file and the workflowname_dir folder into a zip archive, e.g. workflowname.zip.
  4. Deliver the resulting zip archive to your colleague.
