Does KNIME have logging? If so, where can I find it, and how do I control the logging level?

Yes, the KNIME application has a logging facility. The messages generated by the program are divided into severity levels of DEBUG, INFO, WARN, and ERROR.

Each Knime workspace has a knime.log file containing the messages, located at workspace/.metadata/knime/knime.log. The verbosity of the logging into this file is controlled by a preference in the KNIME interface at File → Preferences → Knime.

The logging messages can also be printed in the Console. The verbosity level of the console is a separate preference, and is available at File → Preferences → Knime → Knime GUI.
