I have trouble starting Maestro on my machine.
Locking assertion failure. Backtrace:
maestro: xcb_xlib.c:73: xcb_xlib_lock: Assertion `!c->xlib.lock' failed.
What does this error indicate?
This is a locking issue, and these errors have been seen on SuSE and Fedora distributions.
A workaround on OpenSuse 10.3 is to set the following environment variable to a null value:
|csh/tcsh:†††||setenv LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK ""|
There is no workaround on Fedora 8.
If you do not see the second line of this error message, you may be able to fix the problem by moving
mmshare-vversion/disabled_lib/Linux-x86 and from
