What is the best way to place a membrane for my GPCR model to use in Desmond?

The best way is to go to the OPM database and download the template you used to build your model. The OPM PDB file contains membrane positions. Load in the OPM PDB structure first and align your model to the OPM structure. Make sure that your model is selected in the Project Table. In the Desmond Set Up Membrane panel, click Place on Prealigned Structure and then Save Membrane Position to Selected Entries. Now you have the membrane positon saved and can easily load into the Desmond system builder.
