Is it possible to do a local workstation installation and open Maestro locally while running the longer jobs on a cluster? For this kind of installation, will the license file need to be set up locally as well?

This is the recommended approach to run Maestro and is used by most of our customers.

For the detailed description and more information on this set up, please refer to the Installation Guide, chapter 6 "Preparing for job submission", and especially section 6.3 "Preparing for Batch Queue Submission".

Each workstation will have to be configured to use the current license server (head node).

For more information, please refer to the Installation Guide, section 5.6 "Setting Up Access to the License Server".
