I accidentally deleted my publickey.txt file on Windows. Now I cannot configure access to a new remote host. Do I have to regenerate all my ssh keys?
On Windows the public key is also stored in the private key file. Open the private key file with an editor: You will see a line
Public-Lines: 4
Copy the 4 lines below that line and paste these lines into a new text file named publickey.txt. Now you can continue to configure the remote access to the new remote machine.
