Can I close KNIME and have my workflow continue to execute, with the computations running?
The standard version of KNIME must stay open while the workflow is executing. If this feature is important to you, please take a look at the KNIME Server Lite at this URL:

You can also run a workflow from the command line. See the KNIME Extensions User Manual for instructions. In Suite 2012, you can prepare KNIME workflows to run from Maestro, with a panel for setting up the run. The workflow runs KNIME in batch mode.
