I find that the chirality labels do not properly update upon modification of a molecule. Selecting the chirality label again shows that it has changed. Shouldn't this be automatically checked, upon any modification to a molecule?
The labels are updated correctly when inverting chiral centers using Edit → Adjust → Chirality. However, when doing modifications in the Workspace (e.g., adding/deleting atoms) they have to be reapplied to reflect the changes. To automatically reapply the labels, you need to select "Reapply atom labels when Workspace changes" in the Preferences panel, under Atom Labels (or in the Atom Labels panel for Suite 2011 and earlier), or on the toolbar button menu.
