I have a file of protein residue properties which I'd like to color-map to the protein surface. Is this possible in Maestro and if so how do I do it?

One way to do this is first to color atoms or residues by the desired scheme, then create a molecular surface, and color it according to the current atom color: in the Manage Surfaces panel, click Display Options and for the Color Scheme, choose Property: "Atom color".
