How do I draw a simple "structureless" sequence ?

You can draw just a straight chain of residues as follows:

1. Go to Edit → (Build →) Fragments.
2. Choose 'Amino Acids' from the Fragments menu
3. Select the 'Grow' option
4. Click the residue buttons (SER, SER, PHE, etc.) to grow the sequence.

Please note that the sequence will be capped (ACE, NMA) on both termini.
