When the Status Bar is displayed at the bottom of the Maestro window and saving of project changes is set to "only when specifically requested", then the Status bar changes in size as the floppy disk icon appears or disappears based on how the mouse is used. This causes the structure in the display window to get re-sized. Is there any way to prevent this?

This problem is fixed in Suite 2009 update 2.

You could also try hiding the Status Bar or setting the Preferences to "Synchronize Workspace changes → Automatically".
