Is there a way to merge two .xpdes files?

You can simply concatenate the two .xpdes files. However, you'll also have to combine the respective _pv.maegz files; you can use 'zcat' for this. For example,

cat job1.xpdes job2.xpdes > combined.xpdes
zcat job1_pv.maegz job2_pv.maegz > combined_pv.maegz

Note that the base name of the _pv.maegz file must match that of the .xpdes file, in order for the XP Visualizer to find it.
