My Glide XP refinement jobs are failing with memory allocation errors. The server has at least 40GB memory, and flexible docking jobs run fine. What could be the problem?
If the job is being run on a 32-bit OS, then the OS only allows 4 GB of addressable memory. If 'top' and 'meminfo' only report 4 GB memory then the OS is 32-bit. You should install a 64-bit OS with 32-bit compatibility libraries. This will allow the 32-bit applications (mainly Maestro) to run, while using the full address space of the 64-bit OS for the applications. As of Suite 2010, all of our software is available in 64-bit versions.
