When I submit a job to a SLURM queue, I get the following error message:
Submitted batch job 555
Submitted batch job 556
FATAL: Unable to submit job for batch execution
Why does the job submission fail?
Submitted batch job 556
FATAL: Unable to submit job for batch execution
Recent versions of SLURM (such as 2.1) are no longer compatible with the submit script provided in the Schrödinger software installation for submitting jobs. This problem can be fixed by downloading the file:
ftp://ftp.schrodinger.com/support/hidden/SLURM/submit
and replacing the following file in your installation with the downloaded file:
$SCHRODINGER/queues/SLURM/submit
This file is only compatible with recent versions of SLURM. It will not work with older versions. You should therefore only replace the file in your
installation if you are having the problem described here.
