My job fails with the message

ImportError: No module named _md5

What can I do?

Jobs on Ubuntu 9.04 may fail with this error. This is most often caused by an inability to find the library libcrypto.so.6 that is provided by the operating system, because the library name is nonstandard.

To fix this problem, first ensure that the OpenSSL package is installed on your system (including the 32-bit packge if your OS is 64-bit), and then make the following symbolic link:

ln -s /lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8 /lib/libcrypto.so.6

If your operating system is 64-bit, then also make the following link:

ln -s /lib64/libcrypto.so.0.9.8 /lib64/libcrypto.so.6
