Schrödinger Partners with BioTeam to Provide Customized IT Solutions

NEW YORK, NY (November 11, 2008) - Schrödinger, Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement to partner with BioTeam to provide expert IT solutions to its US-based users. "This partnership is forged with our customers' best interests in mind," said Dr. Ramy Farid , Schrödinger's President, "BioTeam's expertise in enabling scientific applications to work in a wide range of high-performance computing environments allows them to optimize the performance of Schrödinger's software tailored to each user's own computing architecture." "This partnership joins two best-of-breed companies," said Stan Gloss, BioTeam's Founding Partner and Managing Director, "Schrödinger's great science provides our clients with the competitive advantage they're looking for, but that advantage can't be realized if there are IT roadblocks along the way. Together, we can accelerate our clients' research and help them achieve discovery," adds Mr. Gloss.

BioTeam's proven proficiency with cutting-edge technology will provide Schrödinger users with not only timely IT support, but also a path to grow and expand their computing resources into the future. "With rapid changes in computer hardware, middleware, and operating systems, it is a real challenge to maintain robustness and performance of software applications," said Dr. Farid, "our scientific support team is focused on supporting the science, whereas BioTeam sees hundreds of infrastructures a year. It's great to have BioTeam behind us; our users can now expect the same high level support, whether it's scientific or IT infrastructure in nature, either way, they're covered." Mr. Gloss adds "there's tremendous synergy to this partnership; the complete service and support we can offer our clients is greater than the sum of its parts."
