Drawn by the sights of Northern Italy and the impressive technical schedule, attendees at the Fall 2007 Schrödinger User Symposium enjoyed informative presentations, hands-on training with Schrödinger software, and one-on-one time with Schrödinger applications scientists, developers, and product managers.

Held in Verona, Italy on October 7th to 9th, the User Symposium's highlights included presentations on real-world applications of Schrödinger software, advance previews of forthcoming technology, and special interest group discussions with Schrödinger product managers. Among the well-received new technologies presented at the Verona symposium were PrimeX, for protein X-ray refinement, and Schrödinger KNIME Extensions, for workflow automation, model building, and data-mining.
Following the successful spring 2007 symposium in New York and the fall 2007 symposium in Verona is the Spring 2008 Schrödinger User Symposium, scheduled to take place from June 4th to 6th in Portland, Oregon. We are currently accepting abstract submissions for either oral or poster presentations - all applicants whose abstracts are accepted for oral presentations will have their registration fees ($600 for the full Symposium) waived; and applicants with accepted posters will receive a 50% discount on the registration fees. Submissions should be e-mailed to conferences@schrodinger.com by January 15th, 2008. Please include a short bio, title, and abstract. The presentation should highlight either methods developments or scientific applications using Schrödinger software.
