Schrödinger will be exhibiting at and is the corporate sponsor of Structure-Based Design in Boston, MA. Dr. Richard Friesner, Professor of Chemistry at Columbia University and Schrödinger's Scientific Advisory Board Chairman, will give a presentation titled "Using Glide XP to Rank Order the Binding Affinities of Protein-Ligand Complexes." Dr. Friesner is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the conference and will host one of the roundtables during the meeting, as well as serve as a panelist for the closing panel discussion.
Dr. Mark Murcko, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Schrödinger Scientific Advisory Board member, will give the keynote address, titled "Hype Versus Reality: How Valuable is Structural Information in Guiding Drug Design?" Dr. Murcko will also be the moderator for the closing panel discussion.
Dr. Woody Sherman, Schrödinger's Director of Applications Science, will host a luncheon workshop on "Advances in Lead Optimization."

Workshop on Focused Library Design

Schrödinger Senior Applications Scientist Jas Gata-Aura will be leading a workshop on "Focused Library Design" during the Latest Advances in Drug Discovery Design & Planning Methods eCheminfo Advanced Training Week. The workshop will take place on June 27, from 9:00 AM–12:30 PM, at the Chemistry Research Laboratory, Oxford University.
Dr. Gata-Aura will present examples of successful CombiGlide applications, and will discuss ideas on designing subtype-selective ligands, and explore library and general data mining with KNIME and Schrödinger’s KNIME extensions.

Dr. William L. Jorgensen, C. P. Whitehead Professor of Chemistry at Yale University and a member of Schrödinger's Scientific Advisory Board, will give a talk on FEP-guided lead optimization of anti-HIV agents at the Gordon Research Conference on Computer-Aided Drug Design.
