Software Engineers

Working at Schrödinger

Please note that in response to recent Executive Order we will not require any affected employees to travel outside the U.S. for work, nor will the absence of travel negatively impact such employee's career.

We are a country of immigrants and we must embrace our history as we nurture the next generation of great minds. A large percentage of our employees are immigrants, including our CEO, and we are deeply grateful for our diverse workforce. We are strongly committed to our mission to "fight disease with code," and we need the best and brightest minds from whichever country they may originate to help us in our efforts to improve human health and quality of life.

We think great software engineering can have more positive impact in the world than enabling billions to share cat videos. The drugs our clients make benefit hundreds of millions of people worldwide by improving quality and duration of life. They are prescribed for a multitude of health concerns such as AIDS/HIV, cancer, heart disease, allergies, and chronic pain. No treatment exists for many diseases still; our software accelerates the progress of researchers in their quest to fill this void.

We work on fun, large scale, distributed compute problems and enable complex human-AI collaboration through simple UI's. Our problems reduce to a lot of the same problems most cutting edge tech companies work on.

You might not know it, but medicinal research is at a point where the rate of virtual and experimental data generation is rapidly outpacing the capacity for analyzing that data within this industry. Schrödinger's tight-knit team of software engineers is helping researchers keep pace, creating a software platform for pharmaceutical drug design that is changing the way pharma makes new drugs. Harnessing physics-based simulation software and expert-level knowledge from chemists down the hall, we're enabling researchers to design better drugs faster.

Team up with us and be part of something bigger.
