The Schrödinger KNIME extensions aren't working. What should I do?

You can use the Setup Diagnosis node to diagnose the problem.

  1. Start KNIME, if it is not already running.
  2. Add the Setup Diagnosis node to the workspace (under Schrödinger → Tools in the Node Repository)
  3. Right-click on the node and choose Execute and Open Views.

The Setup Diagnosis result panel shows results of various tests, which may help you to fix the problem:

  • If the environment isn't set up or if you see a following error message:

           "Schrodinger KNIME extensions version is not compatible with mmshare version."

           Please check the compatibility matrix in Article 1111 and follow the steps in here to update the installation as needed

  • If the path to the Schrödinger software does not exist, and you have set up the environment correctly, it may be that the Schrödinger software is not installed, or it is not installed at the indicated location. You should then install the software, or reset the environment (see Article 1696)
  • If you do not have a license for running the Schrödinger nodes (or the Schrödinger software), you will have to obtain a license. See http://www.schrodinger.com/licensing for instructions.

If all the tests succeed, it may be that the Schrödinger software itself is not working. See Article 1692 for instructions on diagnosing the installation.

If you have difficulties with the process or cannot resolve the issues with the instructions given above, please copy the text from the Setup Diagnosis result panel and paste it into an email message to help@schrodinger.com, and attach the file workspace/.metadata/knime/knime.log, where workspace is your KNIME Workspace directory.
