Entry List
The Entry List lets you control which entries are included in the Workspace and whether they can be edited. It also works like a mini-Project Table, allowing you to select entries for right-click management actions or for use in a scientific task. The blue highlight on an entry title indicates that the entry is selected. Group headers also show highlights - brighter or duller depending on whether all or only some of the enclosed entries are selected (see below).
Including & excluding
Click an empty circle to include that structure in the Workspace. Other structures will be excluded.
Use Ctrl-Click (or Cmd-Click) to exclude a structure or to add another structure to the Workspace.
Fixing
To keep a structure fixed in the Workspace as you work, right-click the entry and choose Show in Workspace > Fix Within Project. Now you can include another structure without holding down Ctrl.
To return to normal inclusion, right-click the fixed entry and choose Show in Workspace > Include (or Exclude to exclude it).
Tip: You can fix an entry or return it to normal inclusion by double-clicking the circle. To exclude a fixed entry, hold down Ctrl (or Cmd) while double-clicking.
Locking
To make an entry non-selectable and non-editable, right-click and choose Lock (non-editable). A lock icon will appear in the Row column, and if the entry is included, a banner will appear in the Workspace.
To unlock an entry, right-click and choose Unlock (editable).
Showing & hiding surfaces
To show or hide surfaces associated with a particular entry, click the S button that appears at the right edge of the Title column. Toggle the surfaces individually, or choose Hide All.
Use the Manage… option to view and manage all surfaces associated with all included entries.
Tip: Checked surfaces should be visible when the associated entry is included. If they do not appear, click the Surfaces toggle at the bottom of the screen.
Selecting entries
To select a single entry, click on its Row or Title column. To select all the entries in a group, click on the group header. Use Ctrl-Click (Cmd-Click on Mac) to de-select entries and groups or to add to an existing selection. Use Shift-Click to select a range.
Note: Clicking a selected entry’s title puts the title in edit mode, so click the Row column to change the selection.
Adding columns
By default, the Entry List shows only the first three columns of the Project Table, but you can add more by clicking the gear icon at the top and choosing Show Property....
Searching and filtering
Click the magnifying glass to search or filter the entries in the list. You can click on the word “Search” and start typing, or choose the funnel button to show only the Included entries. The arrow next to the funnel offers other filter settings.
To restore the full list, clear the search with the small gray X button and/or toggle the filter button off. Click the magnifying glass again to hide these options.
