No, you are welcome to read the tutorials or documentation for reference or watch any webinars or videos even if you do not have the software. If you would like to follow along with the tutorials, we recommend having access to the software. Many of the tutorials can be completed using Free Maestro, which is available to academics and does not include any licenses.
