Dr. Sahar Saleh Alghamdi is the Director of the MSc Nanopharmaceutical Sciences Program and an Associate Professor specializing in medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS). She earned her master’s degree from the University of Florida (UF) and her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). Her current funded research focuses on the discovery of potential biological activities of natural products and synthetic small molecules using both in vitro and in vivo experimental approaches. In addition, she employs a wide range of computational tools to predict pharmacokinetic properties, molecular targets, toxicity profiles, CYP450 enzyme inhibition, homology modeling, molecular docking, and dynamic simulations of protein-ligand complexes. Dr. Alghamdi actively contributes to research publications, community service, and serves on internal and external scientific committees, as well as national and international conferences.
